20 Quotes About The Legacy of Elderly Women in Our Homes and Communities

Join me for a journey where age is just a number and laughter is eternal. I got an opportunity to interview an elderly woman who has faced and overcame a lot of challenges and did it creatively. She was a young woman who was able to raise her children and spend most of her time with her family, and when all the children were grown and all the husbands were at work, she was all alone with an empty house. Let’s find out how she started her journey as an artist in this blog.

Legacy of Elderly Women

For several days she only stayed with memories of their childhood in order to remain with them in some way. “I would miss the sound of their laughter and toys strewn over the house,” she said. Rather than getting lost in the quiet, she changed the track and engaged in something very surprising. One day, when she was browsing through a photo album, she found she wanted to try something new. So, she got the idea of starting drawing old age cartoons.

Initially, she didn’t pay much attention to it. She wrote personally for herself because she enjoyed the moments spent with her love. She added, “I began to exaggerate the stories for the sake of making it a little funny here and there.” ‘’All of a sudden, I was writing these incredibly ridiculous stories of their childhood.’’ She would laugh out loud at her own writing, and slowly that laughter became a source of comfort to her. Let’s enjoy her best twenty cartoons in this blog.

I asked her what made her decide to share the story, and her response took the glow off her face. “Oh, it wasn’t my idea!” she said, laughing. It so happened that one day my daughter arrived for a visit, and she saw the papers I had written piled up on the kitchen table. She asked me what they were, and I blushed and then gave them to her.” Her daughter began to read aloud, and she just burst out laughing. “It is funny,” said she, ‘these are hilarious’.

She continued to write after that and was still writing. She said: ‘I began to write more often new stories and even adventures for grandchildren were invented.’ ‘I think it gave me something to look forward to as well as something to work towards every day.’ Yes, days which were once empty of noise, she walked like a butterfly surrounded by smiles and laughter. In the end, she think she was writing for herself too.” It gave me happiness in aspects I had not imagined before.
