Saints Who Inspired Pope Leo XIV and Changed History Through Faith

Saint Augustine has a very special place in the life of Pope Leo XIV. The Pope is a member of the Order of Saint Augustine. He’s claimed that much of he is is from the spirit and teaching of Augustine. Saint Augustine sought truth and peace for many years. His faith transformed his life and his heart. He was subsequently a bishop, teacher, writer and servant of the Church. His ideas had an influence on Christian thought for many centuries.

Saint Monica was also an important figure in the life of Saint Augustine. She was his mother. She trusted in God and prayed patiently year after year in a time of concern.
