Here are Twenty Beautiful Lessons We Can Learn from Senior Ladies

Welcome to another beautiful day. Today, we explore the inspiring journey of an elderly woman who transitioned from a busy professional career to an unexpected passion for writing later in life. I finally got an opportunity to interview an elderly woman who was a professional in her working years most of which were spent working in a very busy career. This is the story of a women who seems to have a mid-life bid career change, and whose final calling seems to come to her at a later point in her life.

Beautiful Lessons

Her activities included attending meetings, completing work within the prescribed time and working for other stations. There was virtually no leisure nor was there time for a personal interest or interest outside the hospital, and she had no problem with this. When the end began, she realized for the first time in my life that I had no plan for my future. There was a lot of stress in the transition into retirement. This left her searching out for a solution up to the point an opportunity to feel joy in life was her grandchildren.

“When my daughter said to babysit the kids more often it gave me something to do,” she said. They helped her remind her regular activity schedule with light and laughter. “They were always doing something silly, and I felt like laughing more than I have ever done in the past years.” Her grandchildren did not take long to convince her to write. They said some of the stories I have to tell them made them laugh and continuously told me ‘You should write these down, Grandma’.

I was quite intrigued about this new vocation and therefore wondered how it all began. It was even tough in the beginning, of course. In fact, she had the nerve to admit something I bet the majority of students wouldn’t have done in her shoes: I wasn’t used to writing anything creative,” she confessed. I began writing short stories about what the kids did and within no time, I was writing full page stories.” It became her form of social interaction; for them, writing can bring them back again to reality. “It made me remember that life was not serious anymore.”
